| Fixtures were arranged for two teams although only nine games are listed
for the 2nd XV. Opponents included New Brighton A, Liverpool A, Waterloo
2nd, Ashford House, Tue Brook A, and St Anne's Parish Church. There were
also two fixtures against Old Boys 3rd XVs but no clues regarding the school
they had attended.
The ground is stated to be at Little Moels (not Meols) Road, believed to be on land alongside the golf course, and the 'dressing' room was at the Stanley Hotel. Alas, no direct link can be traced between this club and the present
club that was founded in 1922. It is recorded elsewhere that Messrs. Baddeley,
Barrington and M.Wannop were members of this original club and were still
associated with the later club in the 1920s. |

This photograph was presented to the Club by F.J.Chiverton of Lota Lodge, Forest Road, Meols about 1949/50. He played for Hoylake in the mid 1920s with D.R.Wynn-Williams, the current Hon. Secretary, and whilst it has long been treasured he decided it would be fitting if it was presented to the Club. The Chiverton family have a long tradition with Hoylake
